My boards
Currently I have three boards allowing me to surf as wide a range of conditions as possbiel.
My main board is a traditional 7' 4" thruster (very similar to the board in the image below) made by a very fine local board maker Aido (Adrian Shepherd).

I am very happy with it as it addresses all the issues that I had with the board described below.
Aido's board replaced my 7' Epoxy McCoy Nugget which has been a fantastic board for me but I was starting to get a bit frustrated with it for the following reasons:

- As you can see from the image to the left there is a large amount of volume in the back end, compared to Aido's board, which made it difficult to control the take off if the wave had a fair bit of power.
- It was also a bit too wide at the front and as a consequence hard to push down to get into the wave so there was a tendency for it to plough at times.
- It skittered around abit on the face of the wave rather than sitting in it so a fast carving turn was not really possible.
I also have a 9' Bic longboard shaped by Gerard Dabbadie and it is a terrific board. Very light and manouverable for it's length, takes a steep drop and is easy to turn.

I purchased this board because I had been very pleased with the 10' Bic Noserider that I also own

Later on this year, I am going to trade both of these two longboards in for a single 9' 4" Bic longboard or something similar.
