Posture
A pictorial journey through the development of my posture over a period of 6-7 years
I use a footstool and I know that many guitarists nowadays choose to use supports of various kinds. I have tried many of them but have never found they provided me with the same degree of support that a footstool does. Therefore, my technique is built around the use of a footstool.

John Mill's Masterclass late 70's
The first image shows me playing for English guitarist John Mills in the late 70's and the posture is unresolved and as a consequence both hands are unresolved.

A year or so later
The second image is probably another year or so later also unresolved but the left leg is now in position. The right hand is starting to shape up nicely whereas the left has a long way to go.

Later again
Although I am playing off the right leg, the third image shows the right hand is now quite established and I have started to get the left hand resolved also.

Still later and getting closer
You can see that the relationship between the forearm and the hand through the wrist is now resolved and the left hand is working as it should.

Finally Resolved!
The final image is of my debut solo concert in 1986 and shows a fully resolved posture
